Houston has a very rich LGBTQIA+ history and our community leaders and historians are very good about sharing artifacts and informatIon. UH provides access to archived local news sources, personal papers, and community newsletters. Researchers will also find valuable information at the following sites and community archives.

The University of Houston Libraries is a member of the Houston Area Rainbow Collective History (Houston ARCH), a consortium that supports the collection and preservation of local LGBTIA community history and expands digital access to related historical materials.
