As you get ready to conduct your own research, you will need to decide how you will gather and evaluate your data. Tests and measurements are standardized tools that can help with this part of the research process. They allow you to measure different psychological variables and can include questionnaires, rating scales, inventories, and more.

Where Can I Find Tests and Measurements?

Tests and measurements are available both commercially and non-commercially. Some tests may require permission from the author to use or may have to be purchased from a test publisher. For your assignment, you will not have to administer the test or measurement, but you may need to locate the original publication that reported on the test. You search and browse for tests and measurements in the APA PsycTests database, and find the original publication in the APA PsycInfo database, where you found articles for your literature review.
