Pharmacy Resources

Welcome to the College of Pharmacy Research Guide. Within this guide, you will find information and links to Pharmacy-related resources that you may find useful for your classwork and research.

TMC Library Access

Faculty and graduate students in the Colleges of Optometry and Pharmacy at the University of Houston can get access to the TMC Library's resources by applying for a TMC Library Card and then registering for online resource access. Find out how to apply for or renew your access below.

Apply for TMC Library Access

To get access to the TMC Library for one year:

  1. Complete the application (see link below). Be sure to include your UH email address, sign, and date the form. Please type or print neatly.
  2. Email the form as an attachment to rrhelbing@uh.edu, or drop it off at one of the UH Libraries service desks.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email from the TMC Library (look for the email address ras.check@library.tmc.edu) - be sure to check your junk/spam mail folder. If you have not received the confirmation email within 3 business days, contact Rachel Helbing at rrhelbing@uh.edu.
  4. The confirmation email will instruct you on how to register for online Open Athens/Resource Access. Follow the link in the email (also provided below) and complete the registration form.
  5. It may look like your request did not go through - don't worry, it did! The TMC Library staff now needs to confirm that you have a current and valid library card application on file.
  6. You will receive another email (look for the email address noreply@openathens.net) containing your username. Again, be sure to check your junk/spam mail folder. Follow the link in the email to activate your account and set up a password.

Congratulations! You now have access to the TMC Library's collections.

When signing in to access resources, always choose the "OpenAthens" option.

Renew Your TMC Library Access

A few weeks before your card is set to expire you will receive an email with renewal instructions.

To renew all access fill out the application again (see link below) and send it to rrhelbing@uh.edu. Please note - either on the application or in the email - that it is a renewal application.

You will receive a confirmation email from the TMC Library - be sure to check your junk/spam mail folder. If you have not received the confirmation email within 3 business days, contact Rachel Helbing at rrhelbing@uh.edu.

The confirmation email will provide a link and instructions on how to renew your online resource access for one year.
